Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U11A vs  U11A Tournament
On: Saturday, 08 Jun 2019
Venue: Away

On Saturday 8th of June the U11As played in a tournament at Rose Hill. Our first game was against Beechwood. They girls played exceptionally well and we won our match 264-216. One down and four more to go. Our second match was against Rose Hill. The girls were nervous about this game because they’d beaten us earlier in the season. The girls played a fantastic game of cricket and we won, just, 234-230. Excitement was in the air and I was so proud of the progress the girls have made throughout the season. Our third game was against Sutton Valence. This was a nerve-wracking game and it was extremely close. But in the end we proved to be the better team and we walked away with our third victory of the tournament, 236-227. With 3/3 wins behind us, the heavens then opened as we started our next game against Hilden Grange. The rain looked as though it was set for the afternoon so they cancelled the rest of the tournament. With just 2 games to play, and the only unbeaten team on the score sheet, the girls were so disappointed as they were on course to take Gold (having already beaten the strongest contenders). In our eyes, they were the unofficial champions! I congratulate each and every one of the girls. They are a true example of a team. Their batting and bowling were exceptional and all the girls should be extremely proud of their contribution. Well done, girls. You were all amazing.
