Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U13A vs  Holmewood House School
On: Wednesday, 23 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

We knew that this this would be a tough encounter and after 15 minutes neither side had crossed the line, with both teams defending with real aggression, backed up with excellent line speed. SRS had carried on from last week by playing with intensity and crisp passing and eventually we scored two good tries, through Humphrey B, who was dominant throughout, and Jamie P, who threatened every time he had the ball playing on the wing. The score at half time was 0-10 to SRS. This brutal first half, with big hits being made, had a big effect on HH as two of their players were injured and unable to return. This is when SRSstarted to dominate by turning over ball in the rucks and being that little bit quicker all round. The second half saw us score our third try, touched down by our other winger, Arthur E, after the forwards combined well the backs and set up this vital score. HH scored a late consolation, after we gave away a couple of penalties because of being off side. Unfortunately, with only 5 minutes left, another injured HH player left the field and they were down to only 12 players. Their coach therefore called it a day. Well played, lads. Men of the Match: the whole squad.
