Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U12A vs  Walthamstow Hall
On: Wednesday, 27 Feb 2019
Venue: Away

The U12s had their first field lacrosse match against Walthamstowe Hall in Sevenoaks on Wednesday. Lacrosse is a major sport at WH so it was always going to be a tough fixture, but also a great opportunity to learn by experience. WH's play was fast and assertive and their verbal communication good - their hours with the lacrosse stick showed. But I was delighted that the StR girls were determined and enthusiastic. Field lacrosse is not for the faint-hearted and I was so pleased to see our girls maintain their commitment to their team throughout. Thanks to Charlotte Par and Charlotte Pr, who shared the goal-keeping; Lettice A demonstrated some very tenacious play as a defender and Freya G, Mathilda F, Lotty C, Bea W, Rose M and Eleanor S showed very promising skills for the future. This spirited bunch returned to the pitch 0-10 down after half time and managed to pull back 2 very well-deserved goals (by Rose M and Lotty C) in the second half. A great all round effort - well done. Player of the Match: Lettice A
