Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U12A vs  Claremont Preparatory School
On: Wednesday, 30 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

The girls were on great form on Wednesday, buoyed up from their win last week. They played with confidence from the start, moving the ball quickly into our shooters' circle when in possession. With Sophie M away, initially Bea W joined Floss S to shoot and both found their stride early on. Our defenders (Matilda F, Charlotte P and Mathilda E) marked effectively and were quick to intercept loose balls and any passes not delivered well ahead of the Claremont attacker, thus limiting their opportunities to score. With the score at 12-2 at half time, we decided to rotate positions. What followed demonstrated the wonderful depth of strength and adaptability we now have in this team and the girls pulled further away from the opposition. Mathilda F, for example, played WD, C and GS very successfully and Bea W put in great performances at both GA and C, winning her Most Valuable Player and Player of the Match. Well done, girls - a wonderful team effort with great versatility shown.
