Match Report
Saint Ronan's School U9 Sky vs  Marlborough House School
On: Thursday, 07 Mar 2019
Venue: Away

The MHS U9s were tough opposition on the netball court in the Autumn Term and their speed and agility have transferred well to the lacrosse pitch - they were formidable opponents on Thursday! Very windy conditions were added to the challenge! MHS won the toss and took the first centre pass and converted it swiftly to a goal. We were unable to match MHS's reaction time, positive dodging and their efficiency in picking up the ball. After a good counterattack, Athena M scored but by half time we were behind 1-5. Sky returned to the pitch with their heads up and a renewed determination. They proceeded to move quickly towards ground balls and blocked MHS more effectively. A better second half, with goals from Freya B (following a great run) and from Athena M. There was a lovely performance from Izzy A before she had to leave the pitch because of injury. The match was a learning experience for this team - an afternoon which tested their resilience against a stronger opposition than they are used to. Most Valuable Player: Freya B
