Match Report
Saint Ronan's School 2nd XI vs  Dulwich Prep Cranbrook
On: Wednesday, 14 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

The Second XI finished with a draw against a strong DCPS team. Saint Ronan’s scored first, against the run of play. The effect of the goal was to spur DCPS on and we retreated into our shells. DCPS began to dominate and our touches became frantic and desperate; we would often send the ball straight back to their feet. They played well, moving the ball quickly over the dry turf to the wide channels and confidently forward. Soon they equalized, and this gave them even more energy, as they sensed the game was there for the taking. We couldn’t gain a foothold but fortunately outstanding goalkeeping from Barnaby kept us hanging on by a thread. In the last few minutes, we managed to score an unlikely equalizer and, for the first time, we responded well to a goal being scored, showing renewed belief and energy. The final few minutes were very exciting and the game eventually ended in a 2-2 draw. Man of the Match was Barnaby, with Hector being another standout performer.
