Match Report
Saint Ronan's School 1st XI vs  Marlborough House School
On: Wednesday, 07 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

The penultimate match of the football season was played against an unbeaten MHS side. It was a game that we knew would be tough, especially after they had driven 2 goals past us in 15 minutes a few weeks beforehand. With the team back to full strength, we had a chance of producing an upset. However the start of the game was not the best and we found ourselves having to catch up the 2 goals. By the end of the first half we had done just that, thanks to Kit and Joe's brilliant goals, and we were back in contention. Unfortunately, Tom H came off injured and later found that he had broken his arm. With our Captain out of action, it was up to the rest to pull through. Despite the best of the team's efforts, we could not stop the very skilful MHS, who deserved the victory in the end. Well done to the whole team for having that 'never give up' attitude and setting such a good example of comradeship. Man of the Match: Kit Roberts
