Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U11A vs  Rose Hill School
On: Wednesday, 17 Oct 2018

The match against Rose Hill was approached with a positive mindset, the victory over Holmewood House being still fresh in the memory banks. A furious first five minutes saw the Saint Ronan's team enjoy considerable possession and territory but they could not capitalize with a goal. A mad scramble in the box saw a quick 'snap shot' by the Rose Hill center forward and a cruel deflection took it past a diving Matthew G-R. I am happy to report that despite this early setback, the team continued to press, looking for the simple pass and to exploit space out wide whenever possible. It took a moment of magic to open up the Rose Hill defense. It came from Billy B-F, who made a beautifully weighted pass through the mid-field for Ed M to finish in the bottom left corner. The second goal, neatly tucked away by Orlando, followed Saint Ronan's best passage of play. Six quick passes opened up the defense and this time we made it count. The final goal was rather fortunate, a hard cross by Billy B-F which was misjudged by the goalkeeper and deflected in off the far post. Man of the Match Billy B-F.
