Match Report
Saint Ronan's School 2nd XI vs  Ashdown House
On: Wednesday, 17 Oct 2018
Venue: Away

The Seconds visited the upper course of the Medway Valley on a peaceful Wednesday afternoon. We started very well and Charlie E gave us an early lead with a lovely finish. Throughout the game, Charlie remained our most effective forward, running hard to take the ball up the right and then either putting in a lovely cross or winning a corner. Ashdown House always threatened, particularly through their fast, strong-running striker, and they soon equalized and then took the lead, making the half time score 1-2. We started very positively in the second half and quickly made the scores level again, with striker Archie M finding the back of the net. However, Ashdown soon regained the ascendancy and, apart from a few forays up the right, we struggled to get the ball into their half. Barnaby D (Man of the Match) played exceptionally well. He was brave, made good decisions and executed superbly. Ashdown scored two more to eventually win this lovely game 4-2.
