Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U11A vs  IAPS Tournament
On: Friday, 05 Oct 2018
Venue: Away

Ardingly College hosted the U11 IAPS football tournament on Saturday. The standard was exceptionally high and, with games only 6 minutes each way, it was critical to score early on. Saint Ronan’s lost to Brighton, despite having three great chances to score, hitting the crossbar twice and forcing one excellent save. St Andrew’s were too strong, with a superb striker who scored both their goals. Once again, against Ashford, we created early chances but simply weren’t clinical enough and they ran out 2 – 0 winners. Ardingly played excellent team football and were unlucky to not get to the final. They beat us 2 -0. The final game was against Vinehall, who were also looking to end the day with a win. It seemed we saved our best football for the last game and won 2 – 0. Billy B-F scored a lovely goal from the left and Ned T scored from the penalty spot. Charlie F had his best game at right defender, Wilby W got stuck in and Matthew G-R looked solid in goal. On this occasion the results didn't go our way but much was learned from the games played, as well as from watching the semis and the final. Man of the Tournament: Alex P.
