Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U8 Sky vs  Bricklehurst Manor School
On: Thursday, 22 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Bricklehurst visited us with just one U8 team. As it was the last match of the netball season, everyone in Year 3 was included, with the three SRS teams rotating around at each quarter to take their turn against Bricklehurst. The Sky team played first, playing some super netball and passing the ball swiftly up the court. We moved and marked well, making some great interceptions, and were able to capitalise on much of our possession to quickly establish a 3-1 lead to win the quarter. The Navy team took over in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, displaying some much-improved netball. Our passing has become more fluid and reliable and we are remembering to move into space to receive the ball instead of hiding behind a defender. Despite their best efforts, and two super goals, Bricklehurst took the half 4-2. The Royals played the 4th quarter having had a great warm up against the other SRS teams. We are gradually becoming more confident and game-aware but still need to be more dynamic when moving for the ball. We had a number of shots at goal but luck wasn’t on our side today. Bricklehurst converted two scoring opportunities to win the quarter 2-0. A lovely afternoon of netball, girls. Player of the Match: Tilly TY (Sky), Julia P (Navy), Annabel W (Navy), Micaela M (Navy), Lucienne SD (Royal). Well done.
