Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U11B vs  Dulwich Prep Cranbrook
On: Wednesday, 21 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

The girls were very excited to play their first match of the season. We started off slowly during the first quarter and Dulwich maintained most of the possession. The girls lacked the confidence and fight to go for the ball and three goals were scored against us. After a pep talk, the girls went into the second quarter with determination to defend more aggressively. The game sped up and the girls started putting what they'd practiced in drills into play. They defended much better and managed to get the ball up into their D quite a few times. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side and they did not score any goals in the second quarter. Dulwich managed to score another one against us. During the break, we shuffled round a few positions and the girls were a lot more confident to take on the opposition. The game completely changed during the second half. The girls were amazing. They were quick to get into spaces, they defended brilliantly and we managed to score three goals. I am extremely proud of the girls for not giving up and for giving their best up to the final whistle. Player of the Match: Kitty Furnival
