Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U11B vs  The Mead School
On: Wednesday, 17 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

The girls were a little taken aback by the determination to win the ball from The Mead’s team and the fact that they kept hassling for the ball. We were lucky that - against the run of play - we had a break away and were able to score. This gave us more impetus and we started to apply more pressure in mid-field and around the D. The girls started to have more shots on goal but sadly there was no-one on the posts to pop the loose balls in. Esme C was a good target for the mid-field and Anya R was looking to support the attack. Kitty F and Suriya R increasingly provided width. Honor L and Anna B were outstanding in defence - having understood the system they now provide great support for the attack, as well as stopping the opposition. Hannah C, when needed, cleared the ball to the sides very effectively. Kitty F scored in the second half by being decisive in the D and hitting a loose ball straight at goal as hard as she could. A great team effort. Well done, girls. Players of the Match: Anna B and Honor L
