Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U11A vs  Claremont Preparatory School
On: Wednesday, 10 Oct 2018
Venue: Away

The girls were a little slow to start: the well-oiled team machine was not working as one and Claremont had a few chances at goal. Cordelia E had her angles right and the shots went straight at her and wide. We then got into the game - better tracking back meant that we were able to pick the ball up deeper in mid-field and pass it. We had a few chances: a lovely pass across goal from Millie DH needed some attack on the right post. Then a ball found Lottie H in the D, with only the goalie to beat. Lottie’s timing is excellent and she scored another hat-trick. In the second half, we found our rhythm and all pressed into the area to look to score. Lizzie H scored twice, one being a super “shoot as you enter the circle” shot that went in on the near post. Ruby A had more to do than usual but was very secure at the back. Kitty H, Ruby M and Rachel B were, as ever, tenacious and inventive. Some lovely hockey was played this afternoon. Well done girls. Players of the Match: Lizzie H and Kitty H
