Saint Ronan's School Girls 3rd VII vs  Claremont Preparatory School
On: Wednesday, 10 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

A very enjoyable game of hockey against a skillful and physically-imposing opposition and we should be pleased with a draw against such a good team. After conceding early, our heads didn’t drop and our defensive effort was outstanding. Lucy G tackled as if her life depended on it, and was ably supported by Chloe L, in goal, and Evie S at the back. The midfield battled hard in the heat and we were able to rotate every three minutes to give them each a well-earned rest. Floss S gave us a focal point up front and just before half time we scored a lovely goal: several passes from our own half into the circle and then a terrific finish into the corner by Rosie S. So a very good team effort, with everyone supporting each other so well; thanks mainly to the team huddle at the start and the shout of “1-2-3-THIRDS” to get us pumped up! Player of the Match: Lucy G
