Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U11A vs  Dulwich Prep Cranbrook
On: Wednesday, 26 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

We got off to a great start in the heat of the autumn sunshine and scored a goal within the first minute, with a good tackle, crisp passing and crowding of the D. Ruby M applied the final killing blow. The pressure continued and the new formation worked well, Rachel B working well, in a slightly more defensive role and Ruby A enjoying freedom at the back. Dulwich had a couple of chances and managed to get the ball past Cordelia E so we went into half time 1-2 down. We kept our shape and were able to spread the defence with our wide play. This left room in the middle for Lottie H, who received a ball. With space in front she ran forwards and sent the ball past the Gk. We were gaining confidence and playing better. Then Kitty H and Ruby M had a lovely interchange down the left, some crisp passing to get the ball to Lottie H, who sent it into the corner. I wish that move had been filmed! Dulwich’s centre player made a couple of tricky runs through the middle and, on the first occasion, it was only Cordelia E, who was off her line, who stopped her scoring. On the second occasion, she was closed down by Lizzie H and Lottie H in midfield. Finally, Lottie H scored another from a through pass from Millie DH. Well done girls! The team spirit is superb and created this win. Player of the Match: Lottie H
