Saint Ronan's School Girls 1st VII vs  Marlborough House School
On: Wednesday, 07 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Won 4-1 A very satisfying win in the local derby versus Marlborough House, always tough and well-organised opponents. Jemima S opened the scoring from a penalty corner with a scuffed but nonetheless well directed shot into the left hand corner. She followed this up with a fantastic reverse hit which arrowed into the roof of the net. However our 2-0 cushion was soon halved by a sharp MHS attack and good finish across the keeper. Our passing from the back then became a little rushed and straight down the middle, which invited further pressure but we kept our noses ahead. A half time chat and water break allowed us to reset and come out strong in the second half. Jemima S completed her hat-trick and Georgie A slammed in a fourth from a well-rehearsed penalty corner routine, to the obvious delight of her teammates. The team remain unbeaten since the opening day of the season and will wrap up an enjoyable term’s hockey at Hurstpierpoint in the annual Schools Tournament. Supporters very welcome!
