Saint Ronan's School Girls-U8 Sky vs  Holmewood House School
On: Thursday, 18 Oct 2018
Venue: at Home

The girls enjoyed a full game of netball against the HH A team. We were the stronger of the two teams and a smooth outfit when it came to passing and moving the ball up the court, keeping possession well. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side in the shooting circle this week and a number of chances went begging, which meant that the first quarter was concluded with a 0-0 draw. In the second quarter, we were a little more assertive, marking well and taking some nicely-timed interceptions. Finally goals came for both teams, with the score remaining equal at half time, 1-1. In the second half, we kept possession of the ball well and moved it quickly up the court, everyone playing their part and waiting to dodge and get involved in play at the right time. We had a number of opportunities to shoot but despite their best efforts, we just couldn’t get the ball into the net today. That’s just how sport goes sometimes! HH were on point with their shooting and, although they had fewer chances, they converted their opportunities as and when they came. A very encouraging team performance nevertheless, with the girls demonstrating bags of potential. Well done, girls. Player of the Match:LilyS
