Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U11C vs  U11C Tournament
On: Wednesday, 02 Oct 2019
Venue: Away

The U11Cs were away at DCPS for the Coursehorn Cup Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. The girls had a fun warm-up and were excited to get their matches underway. They played excellent hockey, using the very wide pitches to their advantage, with Sophie D making some superb runs up the right. They played 4 games in total and were the dominating team in all but their match against DCPS (where they lost 1-0). Time was tight in each game so it was important to push for goals. The Holmewood House game was my favourite and we secured an early lead through persistent pressure in attack. Sadly, we conceded a goal in the last minute, to level the score at 1-1. All the girls played with confidence and enthusiasm and it was lovely to see such a team effort. I was very proud that they finished second overall and the girls received much-deserved medals! Well done. Player of the Tournament: Jo Jo CM.
