Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U10A vs  Vinehall School
On: Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

The 4 SRS teams took turns to play against the Vinehall team, as well as rotating on to the other pitch for practice matches. The A team were up first. The girls have trained hard this week and the fruits of their labor were clear to see against Vinehall. They played with commitment and were noticeably more assertive and energetic in attack, supporting each other around and inside the D, crossing the ball in twice to Alice M, who scored 2 lovely goals without hesitation. We were also much stronger in defence. Michelle VDB made her debut as GK and did well to block and clear any VH attempts to shoot at goal. Molly Z was reliable at left back, closing down any advancing attacks and clearing the ball confidently down the wing to Bea E. Bella B worked hard on the right, clearing the ball out nicely to Izzy A, who sped down the right wing before crossing it into Alice M in the D. Daisy A played a steady game as centre half, distributing the ball effectively and also making herself available to work the ball around the VH defence if necessary. A really uplifting performance, girls. Well played. Player of the Match: Alice M
