Saint Ronan's School Girls U11B vs  Vinehall School
On: Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

The girls got off to a great start: from the centre pass they looked to attack right, using defender Flora H as part of the attack. The girls pressed and controlled the midfield, with Lois T always turning to send the ball wide to Florence M, who was attempting to go past the defence, using the drag and accelerate move the girls have been practising. We had so much possession in the last third but we needed the players up front to make their presence felt, up close to the goal, to give us a target to aim for. Sophie D, as left defender, had a fine game: alert in defence, moving up to close down any attack and always looking to push up when we were in possession. In the second half, Lois T stayed on and the rest made way for others. Lara L did a good job in defence, having her stick down, therefore making some effective tackles, and Bella G made some good runs through the middle as the forward. Unfortunately, they let in a goal which went wide of Grace E, who had her first game as a goalie. A solid effort, girls, well done. Player of the Match: Sophie D.
