Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U11A vs  Vinehall School
On: Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

It was great to see the girls trying out the skills they have been learning in practices this week. Not only when attacking, but also in defence. The tackling was controlled and precise, and once we have closed down the space more, we will gain possession more often. Evie W did very well on the right side, staying out wide to provide width so we could attack down the right. Sydney W was able to turn to thread the ball to her. Polly H had a good game as left defender, solid in defence, with a strong pass. She was also beginning to push up to join the attack when we had possession. We do need to take up more aggressive positions in the D, to give a target to pass to and to give the opponents’ defence something to worry about. Hebe L had a fabulous first game as goalie: she was determined and made several saves. She was unfortunate to face two shots from unopposed attackers in front of goal. Player of the Match: Polly H.
