Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U9 Sky vs  Marlborough House School
On: Thursday, 26 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

The U9 Sky team put in a very promising performance against MHS on Thursday. With a squad of 9, it was possible to make substitutions at the end of each quarter and allow many of the girls to play different positions, under match play conditions. MHS won the toss and quickly scored off the centre pass. However, SRS didn't panic and managed to pull ahead 2-1 by the end of Q1. Q2 saw less bunching around the ball and, on a few occasions whilst in possession, SRS was able to move the ball down the court in textbook fashion, with the girls making timely dodges and passes - excellent, well done. Our shooters worked well together and, notably, Carlotta MvdK (GS) held her space at the edge of the D, only to dodge and receive the ball right under the post and score 4 goals during the match. Other important goals were scored by Tilly TY and Jemima Pa at GA. Our defence was tenacious - marking closely and making some super interceptions. Minnie W, playing WD and GD, was MHS's deserved MVP. A great team effort and plenty to like. Well done! Player of the Match: Minnie W
