Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U12A vs  Sutton Valence School
On: Wednesday, 04 Dec 2019
Venue: Away

The U12A team enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of rugby at Sutton Valence. Sporting swish new Saint Ronan’s away kit, the boys were very excited to get their first match of the season under way. Captain Ned led a quick warm up and then we were away. We won possession and moved the ball brilliantly away from defenders. After 16 well-timed passes, SV were on the ropes and Rory broke through to score the first try. We continued to share the call cleverly to our keen support runners and therefore scored a few more of these magical team tries. Late in the first half, we began to get a little bogged down in a physical battle, taking the ball into contact when it was not necessary, but we stayed in control. Our kick chases were great but we were caught napping a few times when SV took a quick penalty tap - not a time to switch off! Most importantly, tackling was good, so SV were unable to work their way into the game. A lovely start to the season, well done boys!
