Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U13B vs  Sutton Valence School
On: Wednesday, 04 Dec 2019
Venue: Away

We played our first match of the season against a side that had been playing rugby since September and which has had no football season. With this in mind, I was pleased with the resilience and determination of our team. There were some brilliant passages of play from the more experienced members of the team, whilst those not so confident on rugby turf were clearly aware of the expectations, their roles within the team and the complex rules that hold the games together. Special mention must go to Aston B as scrum half, whose positional awareness and turn of foot kept the game moving. Angus H captained the side and, as 2nd row, was always at the break down and leading from example from the front. Jack F, at centre, did some great defensive work, especially his hard-hitting tackles and fearless running; and Hunter U, our only try-scorer, ran the ball without opposition from our 22 to the try line on three occasions. Well done to everyone, it was a great afternoon and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
