Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U13E vs  Sevenoaks School
On: Wednesday, 25 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

After a close loss against St Andrew's the previous week, the 5th team arrived at Sevenoaks searching for their first win of the season. The first half began with consistent attacking football from Sevenoaks, resulting in two goals in quick succession. However, towards the end of the first half, Saint Ronan’s were starting to string passes together, resulting in dangerous attacking play with a few close misses. At the whistle blown for half time, St Ronan’s 0-3 down. After some positional changes and a team talk, St Ronan’s started the second half like a different team, forcing the Sevenoaks goalkeeper into some good saves and testing the goal post a few times. This constant barrage of shots resulted in a well-executed counter-attack resulting in a first goal for St Ronan’s! Despite this hearty second half performance, Sevenoaks continued to pass the ball effectively, unfortunately resulting in a 1-5 loss at the final whistle. A tough day for the 5th team after some good football, we are carrying the positives on to next week!
