Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U13A vs  Sevenoaks School
On: Wednesday, 25 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

A humdinger of a match!! The weather was kind to us but the ground was wet, which meant that the ball would skid off the surface. We got an early penalty as the ball skidded onto a Sevenoaks arm. Edward M calmly slotted the ball into the corner of the goal. Sevenoaks had other plans and quickly equalised with a good passage of play. Although we managed to go ahead 2-1 soon afterwards, Sevenoaks were playing the better football and SRS kept making silly mistakes in the wrong areas. At half time it was 2-4. The second half started with Sevenoaks rampaging ahead with a 7-2 lead. It is no surprise that SRS left it to the last minute, and fair play to the team, to pick themselves up again and regain some momentum. A quick change upfront with Ned, who soon made himself known with a calm finish, moving the ball around the keeper. This kick-started a revival and SRS scored another 2 goals to salvage some pride. Composure on the ball and making the right choices is vital, especially in our half: an area to work on.
