Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U13A vs  Sutton Valence School
On: Wednesday, 20 Mar 2019
Venue: Away

The proverbial game of two halves and a competitive scrap between two evenly-matched teams. We went into the game with a reorganised defence, following a training injury to Tom H, and struggled early on to mark the lively opposition forwards. However, we pressed well and Will D hit the post for what seemed the 100th time this season. Shortly afterwards we took the lead with a deft finish from Will H, under huge pressure from the onrushing keeper. SV came out fighting in the second half and were gifted their equaliser from a defensive brain-freeze. They scored another after we failed to apply enough pressure to their striker at the top of the circle. Disappointing to lose this one, especially from 1-0 up and with what seemed like control of the game. Better game management in the second half would most likely have secured at least a draw. Man of the Match: Will H
