Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls U8 Sky vs  Vinehall School
On: Thursday, 17 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

The U8s took on Vinehall at home on Thursday. Vinehall brought one team of 6 girls so we played a quadrangular across two pitches, rotating our 3 teams against them. Whilst one of our teams played VH, the other two teams had the opportunity to practice against each other. So plenty of action and match play experience for the girls.

The Orange team looked spritely as they took on Vinehall in the first match. They showed good stick skills and are beginning to think about moving the ball around the players rather than through the middle. There was some good positioning stretching the game. Final score 1-1. Player of the Match: Minnie W

The Green team stepped up next, with Vinehall warmed up and into their routine. The girls worked hard but were reluctant to go in and tackle the opposition. With a little more grit, the girls will have more success at winning the ball. Final score 4-0 to Vinehall. Player of the Match: Ellie S

The Pinks wrapped things up and enjoyed a game with end-to-end action. They conceded an early goal but kept fighting. Positioning can be worked on for future games, with every player needing to think about where to stand when not directly involved in the play. We managed to equalize to draw the match. Final score 1-1. Player of the Match: Florence T
