Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Boys-U12A vs  Sevenoaks School
On: Friday, 18 Jan 2019
Venue: at Home

A tale of two halves. The U12s started playing downhill, with the low sun behind them, in this bonus home match against Sevenoaks. Making good yards in the outside channels, and attacking with depth from quick ruck ball, we scored six tries to one. Barnaby, Henry and Jasper were particularly dangerous in space, using speed, power and fancy footwork to beat defenders. Thomas made a wonderful charging run, and Kit sniped successfully around the edges of the rucks. In the second half we were out-scored when Sevenoaks came strongly back into the contest. We kicked ball away, didn’t use our legs to drive forward as well as we had, lined up too flat and then didn’t support in contact enough. Tackling was good, however, and we managed to hold on for a 6-5 win.
