Match Report
Saint Ronan's School Girls-U12A vs  Skippers Hill Manor Preparatory School
On: Wednesday, 05 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

The U12A team traveled to Skipper's Hill on Wednesday and had a very good game of netball against their 2nd team, comprising predominantly of Year 8 girls. The match was much more competitive than the score might suggest, with excellent end-to-end netball and fairly even possession. Q1 was close and our girls fought hard. It ended with us just ahead, 3-2. Then we had 2 quarters when our shooters - Sophie M and Floss S, were on fine form and Floss, in particular, scored from all over the goal circle. We scored 10 goals during Q2 and Q3. Our mid-court play was very fast and free-flowing and this certainly upset Skipper's more measured style. As Charlotte P was absent, the responsibility of GD was shared between Matilda F and Freya G to good effect. Matilda E gave a very competent performance once again at GK, intercepting many of Skippers' passes into their goal circle. There was further sharing of positional responsibilities mid-court, between Bea W and Lettice A, which the girls enjoyed. A super team effort - well done. Player of the Match and Most Valuable Player was Floss S for some marvelous shooting and well-timed movement in the goal circle.
